Welcome to the Governors section of our school website. Here you can find out more information about the school’s Governing Body and the work that we do.

As a Governing Body our aim is to work in partnership with Mrs Saville and the staff at Joseph Hood to support them in making our school the best it can. The Governors are all volunteers drawn from the staff, parents and the wider community. We come from a range of backgrounds and professions but we all have one thing in common – we think Joseph Hood is a fantastic school, and we are very proud of the hard work and achievement by our students and our staff.

 As a whole Governing Body we meet once a half term, so our main work is carried out within committees: Finance; Teaching ,Learning and Safeguarding and Pay and Personnel.
