Isolde Cragg: Kingfishers Teacher 1 day a week and PPA Teacher

Background: I obtained my PGCE in Primary Education, specialising in Modern Foreign Languages at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2010.  Prior to this I taught English as a Foreign Language in England, Europe and spent 3 very enjoyable years in Japan. 

 

Other special skills/qualifications/talents: I love learning languages ! I speak and write German fluently, have a good level of spoken French have a basic speaking and writing level of  Japanese.

 

Hobbies & Interests outside school: I love doing yoga to relax, to let off a bit of steam I take part in a weekly dance class, even now via Zoom! I try to get out into countryside as much as possible and in all weathers; a walk on the Downs, in the woods and especially like being by the sea. I am a fan of cooking and baking and always want to try out new recipes and make them my own. I am particularly a fan of cooking Asian food and all cakes.

 

Favourite children’s book: I love the author Shirley Hughes, who writes the books about Alife and Annie Rose, and Dogger, Dick King Smith, who writes about Sophie's adventures and I love reading Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet and Allan Ahlberg to my daughters.

 

Favourite subject when you were at school: I loved learning French and German, also Drama, singing and Design and Technology
