Lunches and Healthy Eating
School hot lunches:
Children may either bring a packed lunch or order a cooked meal for lunch. Our meals are freshly cooked in the school kitchen and provide a healthy, balanced diet. Termly menus can be seen below:
Free School Meals for Children in Years 3-6
You may have heard of the initiative launched by the Mayor of London to support families in the current of cost of living crisis by offering all Key Stage 2 pupils (in school years 3 to 6, aged 7-11) a daily lunchtime meal, free of charge. This is in addition to the government’s Universal Infant (aged 4-7) Free School Meal scheme.
Packed lunches
Packed lunches should be brought to school in a named lunch box and they should be healthy and well‐balanced. They should be nut and nut products free, reduced sugars and still drinks.
Drinks
Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school, which is kept in the classroom for easy access.
Snacks
We belong to the National Fruit Scheme and all children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and 2 are offered a piece of fruit every day. Children in Key Stage 2 are welcome to bring a piece of fruit for morning break or they can visit the Key Stage 2 'Snack Stop' to collect a piece of fruit.
Allergies / food intolerances:
Please contact Caterlink direct to discuss any allergies that your child may have. They can provide an allergy menu.
