Online Safety

Online Safety is always evolving and the latest information is here for you to read and note, especially if your children are already using these apps and games at home.

As a school, we teach online safety through our PSHE lessons and assemblies and we talk with the children about keeping themselves safe at all times.

At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every child can learn, play, and explore the digital world safely and responsibly. We believe that teaching online safety is an essential part of preparing our pupils for life in a connected society.

We work in partnership with pupils, parents, and staff to promote safe use of technology both in school and at home. Our approach includes:

  • Teaching pupils how to stay safe online, including how to recognise risks, protect personal information, and behave respectfully.

  • Using secure and filtered internet access within school to minimise exposure to inappropriate content.

  • Providing regular staff training to ensure all adults understand their role in safeguarding children online.

  • Encouraging open communication, so pupils feel confident to report anything that makes them uncomfortable.

  • Working with parents and carers by sharing advice, resources, and updates on current online safety issues.

Our aim is to help children become confident, responsible digital citizens who use technology in positive and safe ways. Online safety is a shared responsibility, and we are committed to creating a secure environment where every pupil can thrive.
