Nursery and Reception were visited by Mill Cottage Farm as part of their 'Amazing Animals' topic! We had a wonderful day, learning all about farm animals and meeting them, some of us for the first time. We learnt how to look after the animals, what the animals need to be happy and healthy and how we can stay safe around them. Reception were taught about what the animals need and what they produce on the farm. Nursery were learning how to be kind and gentle to animals and how we should look after them. All of the children were petting, stroking and touching the animals, remembering to wash our hands afterwards. What a fantastic day we had looking at the sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, goslings, turkeys and not forgetting the friendly 14 year old dog, Alfie. Thank you to Mill Cottage Farm who always create a magical experience for the children!
