Communicating with Parents

We are keen to forge a strong partnership with the parents and carers of our pupils.

The class teachers are in their classrooms/ playground at the start and end of the school day, if you need to pass on a short message. Otherwise the class teacher will be happy to make an appointment to see you at a convenient time.

During the school year we hold a series of meetings for parents/carers. Early in the Autumn term we invite you to a coffee morning to meet the new class teacher. Each term we hold parents’ conferences where you can meet with the teacher to discuss your child’s progress.

Towards the end of the Summer term we send home the Annual Report. With Year 2
and Year 6 reports we also send home the SATs results.

Listening to you

We believe the best way to resolve concerns or a complaint is to talk as early as possible. Parents should always raise any issues with their child’s teacher in the first instance but for the very small minority of issues which cannot be resolved this way, we have a clear Complaints Policy which sets out the steps to follow to work towards resolving the matter.
