Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 6s, Owls and Eagles spent a very busy, fun-filled day at the Natural History Museum on Monday 26th February. They learnt a lot about evolution and natural selection. They also attended a very interesting and informative workshop.
On Wednesday 28th February, we had a brilliant day at the Science Museum. We went into the IMAX screening of 'Our Beautiful Planet' where we saw amazing videos of Earth from an International Space Station in 3D. We spent the afternoon in the Wonderlab, which had a lot of weird and wonderful experiments to explore hands-on! There was a lot of sleepy faces on the way back...
Today (Thursday 22nd February) was World Thinking Day & Scouting Founders Day and children were invited to wear their uniforms from any groups they belong to outside school ie Scouts, Beavers, Cubs, Brownies, Guides and Rainbows
Our Valentines discos and film night were a great success on Thursday 8th February, after school. A big Thank You to all our PTFA members who helped organise and work at the events for the children. They all had a great time!
It's in! Our water play area has successfully been installed in the Early Years playground and looks fantastic! The children couldn't wait to get playing. It has truly elevated the quality of provision in our outdoor area for the Early Years children. The children absolutely love exploring their new area; as you can see from the photos!
Three Year 5 pupil groups took the opportunity to get some cycling safety knowledge with a week-long course last week (15th-19th Jan).
Bikeability, for those who have never heard of it before, is the government’s national cycle training program. It helps you learn practical skills and understand how to cycle on today’s roads. We offer this course every year to all the Year 5 children. You do not need to own a bike as they can provide one for your child for the length of this course. This year, the children had a cold, but very dry weeks weather as they worked outside and on the local roads, and all of them fully enjoyed learning from the two very experienced instructors.
Our Key stage One (Years 1 & 2) performance of the Christmas Recipe, went down a storm - and yes - there was thunder and lightening outside at the time! Brilliant Performance everyone!
The first of our many performances this week (Tuesday 12th) began with a morning of Years 5 & 6 performing The Primary School Christmas Musical. It was very well attended with standing room only by 9.30am. The lively songs were very well sung by them all and the performances from the actors were outstanding! Well done upper Key Stage Two! You were amazing!
Round two of our Christmas lunches at school. The KS2 children love this particular lunchtime as you can see in the photos. Someone had a Christmas lunch for their birthday!
Round 1 of the Christmas lunches. It was the Reception children's first one at our school and we think they all enjoyed it - especially all cheering at the sound of the crackers snapping! Years 1 and 2 had a sing-song while pulling crackers and eating their lunch. They enjoyed being served by our staff 'waiters and waitresses!'
