Breakfast Club and After School Club
Both clubs are run by school staff and require pre-booking for a termly commitment. For further details, please call the main school office on 020 8542 2471 or email us via our dedicated email address at wraparound@josephhood.merton.sch.uk.
Breakfast Club
Start your day the Joseph Hood way!
Our breakfast club is open from 7.45am at a cost of £5.50 and offers a range of activities. Breakfast is served at 8.20am. Booking and Payment must be made in advance.
When you arrive, please bring your child into the club room via the Early Years Blue Gate where a member of staff will let you child in. Please sign your child into the registration book before leaving.
Schedule
| Until 8.18am | Activities take place in the small hall. These include; Construction, Board Games, Puzzles, Colouring and Reading. (Choices differ daily) |
| 8.22am | Everyone attending Breakfast Club will come and sit down to their chosen breakfast. Choices will differ slightly from day to day to introduce a balanced and healthy diet. |
| 8.45am | The children are sent to their classes, ready for school to begin. |

Toast (choice of brown or white is available) will have either a dairy free spread or with honey or jam. Two choices of cereals available daily.
A variety of fruit juices, semi-skimmed milk or water are available with breakfast everyday.
*Booking MUST be made through the school office and paid for online.
After School Club
Our Ofsted registered after-school club runs until 6pm. Children enjoy a range of games, both inside and outside, and are provided with food and drink.
Timetable
| 3.15 - 3.30 | The children will be registered and have a snack of fruit and a drink before activities begin. |
| 3.30 - 4.20 | INDOOR/OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES (dependant on weather) These include; Ball games, Team games, Skipping, Computers, Construction, Painting, Art & Craft, Role Play, Drawing, Colouring or Reading. |
| 4.20 - 4.40 | At this time, the children will be offered a drink and a small snack i.e. Beans on Toast; Pizza; Chicken/vegetarian option Wraps; Spaghetti on Toast; Sandwiches with a selection of fillings and yoghurts. There will also be some salad items available for the children to pick ie tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, carrots. There is also plain toast or sandwiches available every day. (There is a choice of white or brown bread and our squash drinks are no added sugar) |
| 4.50 - 6.00pm | Each day there will be a choice of activities in the small hall, IT Suite and the Club Room. |
