Police Dogs Visit Upper Key Stage Two!

On Monday 18th July, Years 4, 5 and 6 were lucky enough to get a visit from some local police officers and their dog handlers with two dogs, Stan and Enzo.  Stan was a Spaniel trained in finding hidden drugs etc and Enzo, a very boisterous 2-year-old German Shepherd, was trained in finding people and holding and catching perpetrators. The children loved learning about the dogs training days and, what the dogs do to relax. They had many questions for the dog handlers who answered them all! Our local Community Police Officers, Sandra Wood and Robin Young, joined us on the visit and we managed to get a photo together before they all had to go off and continue with their busy day. A big 'thank you' to Stan and Enzo for being so well behaved with us!
