Young Writers’ Competition
THE RESULTS:
Well done again to all of those children whose entries were chosen to be put forward to the competition. The results are as follows:
This year, we had FOUR entries, which were awarded Highly Commended: chosen for excellent writing and ability to engage the reader.
Highly Commended:
Keena Chiedozie (Year 2) for her story
Florence West (Year 6) for her story
Jacob Harker (Year 6) for his poem
Sammy Harrison (Year 5) for his story
Highly Commended entries will be published in the Young Writers’ Competition 2020 anthology along with the Winners and Runner Up entries. The organisers will send copies of the book and certificates to the school in late September for us to present to you.
Please note that if you have just left Year 6, we will post these to you!
In addition, we had four entries, which were Commended and a Good Try:
David Vulpe (Year 4) for his story
Erik Shearring (Year 4) for his story
Julia Martin (Year 5) for her story
Iris Vulpe (Year 3) for her story
Robert Knight (Year 6) for his poem
These entries were deemed extremely good by our judges and the children will be awarded certificates for their fantastic efforts. The organisers will send certificates to the school in late September for us to present to you. Again, if you have just left Year 6, we will post it to you!
