11/12/20 Congratulations Mr Acres!
Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been a challenging year for everyone at school, but it is my pleasure to be able to share a good news story with you. Our Year 3 teacher, Mr. Acres has won a prestigious award. Mr. Acres has been awarded the Personal Finance Teacher of the Year Award. Not only was he the joint winner, but he also won £5000 for our school. The award from the Interactive Investor celebrates excellence in personal finance teaching in schools, and the judges were impressed with the highly interactive way Mr. Acres brought personal finance to life for year six pupils when he taught in this year group. More information about Mr. Acres’ win can be found here: https://www.ii.co.uk/analysis-commentary/personal-finance-teacher-year-awardswinners-announcedii514446?fbclid=IwAR2ZLUyAYSKOqjeqDH3wjX2nJScfOqgK_ij7kEjK7uQwUkbrt cgt6GD6efg We are all really proud of Mr. Acres and I am sure you will join me in congratulating him. Well done Mr. Acres-keep up the good work!
Yours sincerely, Anita Saville

It’s a Christmas like no other, but that didn’t stop us keeping up our annual Joseph Hood ritual of decorating the Christmas tree with everything made by our pupils. This year we have two lovely trees up in school.
We couldn’t have a whole school assembly but we had smaller year group ones, where we added our wares to the trees and had a countdown to put the lights on! It was just magical watching the children’s faces as the lights sparkled and twinkled over their fantastic decorations.
