Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We have attended many sports fixtures this term and Friday 25th November was no exception. some of our pupils from Year 6 attended a Hockey Borough Championship. It was a lovely bright, sunny but chilly day but our team had a great day, winning a few, losing a few and drawing a few but they all had immense fun! Well done to Dorcas, Flynn, Gemma, Sonnie, Dejuan, Emantha, Alex & Deirbhile who represented our school brilliantly!
Well done to everyone who attended Joseph Hood's PTFA Quiz Night. It was a great night, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Amongst all the laughs, smiles and singing there was also a lot of high quality quizzing too. Congratulations to the teachers team of Mrs Saville, Miss Shepard, Mr Smith, Mr Davis and Tash, who secured 1st place in a nail-biting tie-break question shoot-out with the team of school governors. We are all looking forward to the next one!
This term we have been able to attend some great sports fixtures across the Borough. So far we have sent our pupils to Borough Football Championships for girls from Years 3 to 6. A mixed Football Cluster with other local schools where we won the Refspect award, a Hockey development Championship where we learnt some fantastic new skills and last week, two inclusive events of Kurling and Volleyball! It has been a great amount of varied sports for our children to learn to be part of a team while learning some sporting skills!
