What a fantastic end to Year 6 pupils' year! Their leavers performance was outstanding!
This afternoon, Year 6 classes, Owls and Eagles had their leavers' Colour Run! As you can see, they had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed it!
The children in Year 4 had a wonderful taster morning at Raynes Park High School on Friday (14th July). The children had chance to take part in an Art Lesson in which they created a mono print. Then, they had a Science workshop where they had the chance to make some SLIME!.
On Friday (7th July) Year 4 had their Greek day! All of the students came to school in ancient Greek clothing and were joined by Dr Ian Parker Heath, an archaeologist who bought in some ancient Greek artefacts for them to study. The children had lots of fun being archaeologists themselves and partaking in ancient Greek activities such as using a quern-stone to make flour and writing their name using the Greek alphabet. The students ended their Greek day by tasting some delicious Greek food including dates, tzatziki, feta cheese and more!
Mr Acres took our Year 5 Rounders' team out to the final sports fixture for this term! We played really well and won four of the games! All in all, a good day out! Well done to all who took part!
Last Friday, 30th June, Mr Fallon accepted on our behalf, the Merton REFSPECT trophy & certificate that has been awarded to our Joseph Hood pupils! Merton SSP wrote that we had the most nominations across the year for our etiquette, respectful behaviour, fair play and positive spectating at Merton Schools’ sporting events!. We are very proud of all our children who attended the sports fixtures against other local schools this year and super proud that they achieved this most important accolade. WELL DONE EVERYONE!
